5 weeks late?
OK, so I know it’s been like 5 weeks so I apologize to all of those people who have emailed me asking if I’m still alive. I’m still here! I’ve been so slammed at school this semester which started in mid-May.
We are writing a 3D game engine from scratch in C++ for the Xbox in my programming class and we are in the middle of pre-production for our huge game which will be our submission for the Game Developers Conference (GDC) next spring. So myself and my fellow programmers have been neck deep in the Torque Game Engine so we can learn as much as possible to get a head start on production next semester. Our progress has been pretty impressive too. I spent all day today successfully implementing USB joystick controller input to function properly.
I’ve been at FIEA every night until at least midnight. Still LOVING it though. In fact, I continue to geek out more and more. Current interests are the new Prey demo, and Magic The Gathering. Yes, I did say Magic… in fact, most of my old friends are giving me hell for playing again. It’s funny b/c I haven’t played since I was like 16. I’m even going to compete in a pre-release tournament here in Orlando next weekend. On a side note, if your PC can handle Prey, I highly recommend that you download it, it’s absolutely awesome!
Still LOVING FIEA! This school is the best thing that ever happened to me!!! So if you think my update has been boring, keep in mind that I’m happier than I have ever been in my life .
Erika is doing great down here too. She’s working at a local state park doing environmental conservation which is why she wanted to move to FL in the first place. So everything has really fallen into place well. Sera’s even doing great. You would never know that she was sick. She’s even gotten chubby!
OK, so that’s my update.
