Feature on Gamasutra
My buddy Brendan wrote an article for Gamasutra's Day In The Life series. Where they focus on 24 hours of the life of a person in the video game industry (educational or professional).
Since this day was involving a game that I was working with him on, he mentions me :) Thanx for the mention, Brendan!

break, moving, e3, etc
What a week. With a 2 week break between semesters, my to-do list was pages and pages long. I did get a good bit done through the chaos.
Erika and I are mostly moved in. We are no longer living out of boxes but I still have a good 2 truckloads at my old place to bring over. But since my lease is though June, I have plenty of time to do it slowly.
We are really enjoying the house, spending every evening on the back deck enjoying the view, binoculars in hand. There are so many birds, turtles, etc here that there is always something either flying overhead or hanging out by the water.
Besides moving, I've been working a lot and I even managed to put the finishing touches on a couple of projects for my programming portfolio in between tasks for Coptix. I've already put almost 30 hours in there too. Whew, sleep is for the weak!
Some of my friends and all of my teachers are at E3 this week and I'm so jealous I can't stand it. I've been glued to the tv for the last 2 days watching the G4 coverage. I'm so excited about next-gen it's not even funny. In fact, I'm hoping that I can reserve my PS3 tomorrow for November 17th despite the $600 price point. You can check out all of the coverage and next-gen yummy-ness at G4 and E3's official website.
My semester starts back Monday and I'm ready to get started programming on the XBOX SDK. Our final last semester was on the XDK but we barely scratched the surface. Time to start digging deep into it. Our final project for fall semester is decided and we start pre-production immidately. For those of you that I haven't talked to lately, it will be a full XBOX game which will be submitted to the Game Developers Conference (GDC) next spring.
More to come later, I think I need to get to bed soon.

FIEA After Dark
I just posted the video capture (low res version) of the last game of the semester.
It's called FIEA After Dark and I am especially proud of this one becuase I was the only programmer. Our teams normally consist of 2 programmers, 2 producers, and one artist.
It takes place at FIEA (and our kick-ass artist did an awsome job at modeling the school, looks very close) and it stars our IT guy. Many jokes are 'inside jokes' so you might not get all of the dialog. However, it's still pretty funny.
You just have to check it out. Either click here or in the game list to the right.
