A nice cop?
For those of you who actually read my blog, you probably remember when I was so upset a few months ago when I was harassed by a cop while riding my bike.
Well, today I encountered the nicest cop in Chattanooga so this totally makes up for the harassment.
First off, I have NO tickets on my record and I would really like to keep it like that however today I was doing 51 in a 25 (I didn’t realize it was a 25 zone) because I was late for work.
I’m in a rental car with expired Ohio plates. After telling me why he pulled me over, the cop asks for my id then walks back to his patrol car. Upon his return, he had his little ticket pad out and I just knew I was getting an expensive ticket.
To my surprise, it was a warning. He said that since my license and registration was up to date, he wasn’t going to give me a ticket. Not to mention that he had never clocked someone doing over 50 on that road. OOPS!
Now remember, not once did he ask for my registration nor is there a car rental sticker on the back of the car.
I’m just some spiky hair’d girl with a TN license (and blue hair in the pic I might add) driving some newer model car with expired Ohio plates AND the registration on my car at home is also expired.
Thank you to the nice officer who gave a girl a break on a Friday morning. That could have been one hell of a ticket!
