My Cat Has Better Insurance!
I’m not kidding.
So I decided today that because my 27lb cat, Vladimir, is predisposed to so many obese-related health problems, I needed to invest in pet insurance for his fat-ass. So as I goggled pet insurance companies and policies. I realized two things. 1. Insurance fine print of any kind gives me a headache. 2. My cat is gonna have better insurance than I do.
I ended up going with PetCare and the QuickCare Gold policy. For $20/month, he has a $50 deductible and 100% coverage for any illness or accident up to $2,500 per incident for a max lifetime of $30k that is applicable at any licensed veterinarian in North America.
That’s right! No networks, no prescription co-pays, anywhere, anytime, even the ER! When you sign up a healthy pet with no pre-existing conditions, virtually any possible scenario is covered (even if he weigh comparable to three healthy cats!). I know! I sound like a freakin' commercial. But I was amazed!
Now that’s some bad-ass insurance!
I thought about putting my other kids on it as well. But the more and more I thought about it I decided that since they are still young (all of them are around 5-6 years old) and it probably wouldn’t pay off even if something did happen. However, Vladymir is, unfortunately, more likely to develop an ongoing health concern, such as diabetes. An ongoing pet-illness could be financially devastating.
Vladymir, you better know that I love you!

Thanx! Believe it or not, he only eats LIGHT dry cat food, no wet food, treats, or people food. And I do NOT leave it out all day.
